  1. - Not sure if I should design in CMYK or not. Decided to choose colors only from CMYK, and this is the result. Been checking MBD topic about color management, but still not sure. Will have to ask around.
  2. There is something interesting on how the eyes are on the overall shape, like as if it's popping out a lot. Good stuff, Frank. Although something of that white rim light its making me question it.
  3. @MBd The thing is they mention to upload it as sRGB, and check and see how close to the colors it's in the software, but what I am wondering is how can you get accurate colors in the first place, close to what you had before? And didn't knew about that Soft Proof feature, checking your video about it. @MikeW They don't mention the color profile, rather they mention to upload it as PNG/JPEG and check to see how close your colors for CMYK is in the software.
  4. In my previous post I received some help in regards to what settings to use in AD for your color profile, now as I continue to do my Lets Make Shapes project or Spacetronauts I realized that I can't put them on Redbubble or Inprnt because of different colors. Which the previous solution was : "The color profile you want to use as the Designer document is setup to use Wide Gamut RGB. If when exporting click on More and change the ICC profile to sRGB this should be closer to what you are wanting, for posting on the Web" - Lee D Now what I am wondering is what color profiles to use in scenario for printing your digital artworks? Because on Redbubble : "Our garment printers only print in the CMYK format so we recommend designing in this colour spectrum as it will give you a better idea of how the final product will look. You will still need to convert to sRGB colour profile to get your works looking as glorious as possible on the site." - And seeing all of my designs for AD has been designed in the solution posted above, will I be able to convert them to CMYK without losing much of the color choices? Thanks in advance!
  5. Alright, I will postpone this for the time been, and wait till there is more updated version for the painting system. Do feel it might be a lot of work to share in-depth reviews of every single feature within the software, and then also cover up all the patch notes on a constant basis so instead I will focus on a specific area which is either going to be like tools that can help with illustration process or painting process. And discard the part of patch notes, maybe can do that from time to time when there is a major update to the Affinity Products. Thanks for sharing your insights everyone! - And lastly, there is a handful of in-depth settings of Affintiy Designer from MBd https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/37125-ap-ad-beginner-amateur-pro/
  6. While it's true not everyone uses Facebook / Twitter, even so, that's where most of the news and stuff goes on, unless of course Affinity do wants to keep their buyers up to date, then I would say instead of forums, email would be best option. Forums while it's more close knitted and private, only a handful of peoples actually uses the forum or read the forum, in comparison to emails (which on its own is only a handful of peoples) But yeah I do understand the frustration of not using a specific platform, but I feel email would be better that's for sure.
  7. I don't see what's wrong with getting into the technicalities, if anything it allows you to understand the software you're using much deeper and also makes you learn of the features available etc. ;) "Don’t write what you know”. Which is funny because that is ALWAYS the advice about writing. He said, “Write what fascinates you”. You might not have all the knowledge or qualifications. That’s ok, your fascination will give you perspectives and intensity nobody else has. - Brian Koppelman" - But yeah, I do not mind going into the technicalities nor the artistic side, all is an experiment and can just be stopped if I feel is not needed. But one thing for sure, I am stoked for this software. But maybe the technicalities isn't necessary, maybe. Since we do have a vimeo library that goes in-depth with short videos of what you can get in the software.
  8. Work styles, as in tutorials of how someone made their works, like what Teela Cunningham does or Will Paterson with his logo videos?
  9. Greetings, Since I now have a microphone, I have been thinking maybe I can start video series where I go in-depth of the features within Affinity Design, Patch Notese, Updates, what's new etc. that way it will also allow me to learn more about the software, and also someone else can get information of what the software is, and what you can do with it. What do you guys think? I don't think I have seen any youtubers (Designers / Artists ) doing in-depth reviews of the softwares on a constant basis, definitely will take a lot of time, but I think its well worth it, since you're helping peoples along the way. Or do you feel just the Vimeo of Affinity is sufficient in scenario like this? Feel free to share your thoughts.
  10. @Renzatic Yeah, it can serve well for sure. It forces you to make quick design choices, and be confident about them.
  11. Yeah I usually have a time-frame in mind when completing these, which is no more then 1 hour. Some peoples set a time limit of 17 minutes like STUDIO-JQ recent poster design project (Made You Look). Why the time limit, to eliminate paradox of choice, and just get the job the done. Granted these are all abstract stuff most of the time, so I just load up the canvas and put shapes on it till I start seeing a scene on the canvas.
  12. These are you could say, abstract exploration and finding composition/arrangement that feels good for me. And also, to just make something each day.
