  1. Keep at it Phil! Doing one of these everyday or few times a week, eventually you will get used to the software/learn the basic of light. Cheers!
  2. I stumbled into an accident exploration. I basically added a paper texture (that I scanned), on top of yesterday poster, and it changed the whole feeling of it completely. The power of texture is amazing. Which you guys prefer texture/non-texture?
  3. Thank you very much @Aammppaa really appreciate it your kind words, and glad that is showing through. Since that's what I want this thread to be. An on-going exploration for what peeks my interest.
  4. I am sorry, but that's a lot of text which I am not going to read. But I understood the point well after what @tilltheendofeternity @MikeW going to wait till that becomes the norm. In the mean time, I will just use both software.
  5. It's possibly that you misunderstood what I meant. As long a software is industry standard still, a company isn't going to change "for one" individual that uses Affinity Software. I am not stating Affinity has no chance, because I love it, and I want it to become an industry standard, right. But in our current state, unless you find one of those companies that is open, to try new tools, its unlikely for them to hire someone that is not willing to adapt or knows about Adobe products (yet) And yes, you can add both on your CV (which is what I am doing), but hopefully in the foreseeable future, companies become more open about what software the creator uses.
  6. Yeah. Because its not like Affinity is bad, but at the same time, its hard to simply ditch Adobe products, because its still the main stream software/widely used. Will still use AD, personal projects mainly, unless of course I get into a company that has AD too, which would be a huge plus. But that's unlikely, especially where I am from. @MikeW
  7. Since there is this thread, a question to everyone. How will you apply to a company, if you're exclusively only using Photoshop / Illustrator?
  8. If you can draw a line, you can draw anything @Phil_rose I recommend checking this channel https://www.youtube.com/user/LighterNoteProd I also got his book, its a really good one, and easy to understand.
  9. Hey there folks. @toltec as @firstdefence precise clipping wasn't working, however what @GabrielM advised works 100%. Thank you very much everyone. Really appreciate the replies, and now I can get into some isometric stuff !
  10. Greetings I have a question, how can I solve the problem of having a line between two shapes? I am trying to make isometric work, but the gaps doesn't close between the shapes, despite having snapping on. Snapping Settings Lines
  11. Been practicing facial expression lately, and now applying it to what I usually make.
  12. Thank you for the responses @GarryP @Callum @haakoo - Yeah do know of using Display Capture, but wanted to confirm to see if the canvas problem was on my side or not. Hopefully we can see a fix in the foreseeable future, I suppose for now will just have to continue using Display Capture.
  13. Greetings, I have had this problem too on Photoshop, any other software works fine when you use Window Capture. However both Photoshop and Affinity Designer, I can't see the canvas. I Is there any way to resolve this aside from using full display capture? Which defeats the purpose, since I want to record the application window. Thank you.
  14. Seems like that's a recurring answer that I got from others. As in, schematic/sci fi/space. Yeah heads. I want to improve my ability to draw humans in a way that make sense, so I can incorporate it with shapes or ideas I have written down. Hopefully by the end of the next month, I will get everything down.
  15. Alright. I will be taking a step back to daily posting again. Going to do one more of the Geometric Shape project, and then will decide what to post on a weekly basis.
