    Sorry for spelling’s but dyslexic
  1. Sorry for spellings ect but dislexic. When you export all that cams up at the last stage is a menue as to wher to save, name and under the file format would normally would be the file type is affinity. The video has just location and file name, fore a Mac it turned out, so I was confused. Any one not knowing the export process ends up calling what ever file format you select is given the name affinity in this final screen. I spent nearly a day, uninstalling in case I had an errer, trying help (crashing enlessly, trying the tutiorials and finally posted and was told what was going on. Many I think if trying the program would have given up and not kept using the program, my wife was just telling me to go back to PSE if you cant save and not wast so much time somthing I think many will think and not get as far a posting her to find out what the problem is.
  2. Its a way of losing users very fast as the number of us having problems with it. I was trying the help but it kept crashing another way of losing customers. The tutorial was for a Mac so was misleading for windows so yes I was and am pissed of with having wasted a lot of time.
  3. I spent a long time messing about with this stupid export and if I hadn't paid would have given up totally as a result. It needs to fallow the standard export standard not some one off that causes problems for many of us.
  4. Thanks for help. I feel if I were trying rather than having bought the program I would have given up with the way this export works. It doesn't help that the mac tutorials differ from windows program in some places, enough to cause a lot of problems for me at times. Where there are these difference’s they need showing or really need different Windows ones if there are differences between the programs. I now get what its doing but feel its stupid and should show what format you have selected as clearly many of us hit this problem and locally I have never had a program act in this way (or I might have worked it out!) befor!
  5. I am lost, I am unable to save in nothing other than afphoto files no matter what format I import in. I have tried save as, export and Export Persona. I thought it might be due to having tied editing, but even after importing tiff, jpeg or raw I cannot get any other format option to save as. I have reinstalled and tried the current beta so its something I am doing or not doing
  6. I am struggling and to make everything much worse AP crashed about every other time I try help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and no change. It crashes in other areas as well but help is useless crashing so much. 7. Opening a CR2 gets no focuing information i.e. focus points.
  8. Focus points are a very usfull thing to have in AP
  9. I know this has been asked for befor but its really confusing the way it is now. Posters don't oftern know they need to say which program or system so many then have to be asked. In reading posts its confusing to say the least trying in many cases to work out if its at all relavent to my program.
  10. Could the different products be more clearly separated on the forums. I get totally confused what product someone is posting about as often they neither say mac or windows or which product they are posting about. I know there is a big overlap but its very confusing as it is.
  11. Thanks there are two things that could be improved in cropping. A proper built in A ratio cropping as custom needs two, landscape and portrait and secondly the odd need to rotate the image not the cropping box I find most difficult/odd. Why not be able to rotate the cropping as I find in most programs? Found rotate now but cropping isn't very easy to use at all. Luckily I will crop in my RAW program that's easy to use then export.
  12. Much of my printing is in A ratio which isn’t supported. A crop in A ratio that can be dragged landscape or portrait would be very useful as this is the most standard paper size.
  13. I also, being new to program, also tried printing and I also crashed. Not a good start to access printer properties causing a crash! Reloaded the program and the next time it didn't crash. I tried 3 different printers and all worked. So I have no ideas what caused it to crash the first time. 14. I have the same queries from the windows version as there is nothing shown in the welcome screen and the free macro down load is even more useless than the mac one!
