Hi, switching to WARP didn't help, I tried also turning off XMP and switched the RAM management from local to distributed and back, no change.

It's a Multilayer EXR rendering in which the single elements (diffuse, reflection, etc ...) are combined by adding layers together, this has to be done in a linear color space so the math adds up, preferable in 32bit (or 16 bit) float. Live filters are great but as you said they can slow things down. It would be nice to have some kind of live filter group that you could then be freezed in a certain state and reopened for editing later to safe some perfomance (ok, sounds like smart objects, I know). I also attached the afphoto file, maybe you can have a look on your machine. direct_output_test_AOV.zip

Hi Chris, perfomance is better with fewer layers . I often have the feeling that AP is highly performant with just a few layers but as soon as you throw a bit more complex comps in the mix it starts to crumble really fast. And as I said I don't mind that the curve correction doesn't update the document view in realtime but that the UI becomes so sluggish, those two processes shouldn't be connected in my opinion. Don't want to be that guy who points towards Photoshop ... but I guess I am The two GPUs are not connected via SLI as it is not needed for GPU Rendering so I don't think it has an impact. But I will try to turn one off and report if something changes.

Hi there, I have experienced some sever lagging and sticking with the UI in the current version. It is really frustrating to finetune something (e.g. curves) with such a behaviour. I don't mind that the refresh of the image takes a moment but the UI should not be affected by the number crunching. Attached is a video demonstrating what I mean. Thist runs on a Threadripper 2950x, 64GB Ram and two GTX 1070s. Turning on OpenCL doesn't help much I usually have it turned off for stability reasons. 2021-04-08 11-04-57.mkv

Zoom key combo problem
Olyandros replied to Olyandros's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
Maybe, but it is really counter intuitive to have to press a key combo in a certain order to make it work. -
Hi, when i press Ctrl+Space+Mouse (in that Order) I can't zoom, only if I press Space+Ctrl+Mouse it works, that's a bit annoying because in the most cases I press Ctrl first.

linear profiles only in 32bit?
Olyandros replied to jorismak's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Same here. I have the sad feeling that the developers a beeing quite Adobe esque on this problem: they don't care :-( -
Hi, my workflow contains working with 16bit linear gamma (gamma 1) files to combine render passes to a final image. Until now Affinity Photo only supports linear gamma in 32bit mode and ignores linear color profiles stored in 16bit images (and can not be assigned via menu). It would be great if Photo would support this as it is a essential part in my current Photoshop workflow. Thanks Oly

16bit linear color space problem

I'm just curious, is there any progress to solve this problem? -
16bit linear color space problem
Olyandros replied to Olyandros's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
you can download an example tiff here: https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ai6F7-oAqHVxgYEK2Rb-ytEzMEshOg in photoshop the color space is named "linear color space" (i think it is a kind of linearized srgb). -
16bit linear color space problem
Olyandros posted a topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
hi, i always save my renderings out of cinema 4d as a 16bit multipass file for compositing in linear color space (gamma 1). affinity photo seems to ignore the embedded linear profile in the current beta (1.5.0.35) an interprets it as a srgb with gamma 2.1 so the layers don't get added together correctly. i tried to switch the color space inside of photo to a linear space but it seems only possible in 32bit mode. are linear color spaces in 16bit not supported or is it a bug? thanks
