cr2 RAW files and .xmp files
pdophoto replied to graphicbreeze's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
Hi, I do not have many options, I use Pentax cameras which have 2 options for RAW files: PEF or DNG. I have chosen DNG so I don't have sidecar files. So if I want to keep my originals and their adjustments, I need to save the file after treatment in the Develop Persona. Many Photoshop users (ACR) need to convert their Raw files to DNG not to have a sidecar file. One way or another, it is a matter of taste. -

Hi Len, To answer your question, I have +/-12000 photos in my bank of photos and 80% of these are DNGs with their setting incorporated including their metadata. I don't want to re-do the development and re-add the metadata every time I process a photo. I also don't want to operate with two standard and two workflow -

Hi, I also need that DNG files are saved with the Develop Persona modifications like it is done in Camera Raw before development in the Photo Persona. REMARK: For DNG files Camera Raw integrates those data in the DNG file. This is a must for me, I can't use this program on my photos if this is not a feature. -

problems with overexposed RAW files

I thought that you should disable the tone curve in the assistant manager. So, sorry for the inconveniences. -

Develop Persona Enhance Panel Vibrance Bug
pdophoto replied to pdophoto's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on Windows threads
Revision for version 1.5.0.38 Well, it got worst. -
Hi everyone, I have the following presets in the Develop Persona: Basic tab: My Defaults Contrast = 25 Clarity = 25 Vibrance = 25 Detail tab: My Details Radius = 35 Amount = 100 Colours = 25 Details = 50 Contribution 50 Tones tab: Medium Contrast "My Default" preset seems to works as it should. On clicking it updates the panels and the photo and on clicking Default everything is updated to zero. "My Details" preset doesn't work. When I click it, nothing happens (doesn't update the panels data) and after that if I click Default preset of the same tab, it reset the default of the entire picture. The "Medium Contrast" preset of the Tones tab does a reset of the entire picture and doesn't update the curve. How can I get this to work? These are approximately the defaults from Camera Raw which I use on every photos I process. It would be nice to have them working properly to have a smooth workflow. Also, is there a way to modify the Develop Assistant so it doesn't modify so severely the picture as it is loaded in the Develop Persona or how do we turn it off? If we untick "Enable Assistant" it is still ticked the next time we start the program. My problem is the raw photos are much too light when loaded. Since the program doesn't remember the settings we make, we need to reset everything every time. My system: Windows 10 Home Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz Memory: 8.00 GB System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor Edit for version 1.5.0.38 Now "My Details" doesn't work but Default from the Details Tab reset the Basics Tab sliders to zero. If every sliders are reset to zero via the round arrow, applying "My Details" sets "My Defaults" Applying the Medium Contrast preset reset the Basics Tab sliders to zero.

Hi everyone, I have looked around to find discussions on the subject and found none. So if it is an old known subject, please delete. I have found that DNG files when loaded in the Develop Persona, without changes, are quit lighter then when loaded in other programs like XnView, FastStone and Camera Raw. The attached files were captured via CTRL Prn Screen and saved via Photoshop CC My system: Windows 10 Home Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz Memory: 8.00 GB System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor

raw shadows & highlights

I tried it with the same result : the shadow slider doesn't work. Tried it on Pentax DNGs and it works
