  1. I think I cannot add any more than 2 previous big comments. I'm about the same, just missed the Commodore era (altho I worked in TVPaint/LW/Imagine on A3000. And on SGI Onyx2 in SI3.5 )))).

The only thing I'd say: now at times when Apple is going ARM and MS is going I don't know where, it would be at least safe to have a 3rd, non-vendor-locked option.
    Which is Linux, looks like.
It's still far from the best, but in some circumstances I think it could be the lesser evil.

PS: could not imagine I'm gonna be Linux advocate...

  2. To be honest - install MSI Afterburner or Aida or some other hardware sensing/tracking app, and check the GPU/CPU loads and temperatures when you're trying to rotate the rectangle.

Start Windows Task Manager, turn on "Show kernel times" option, and check the CPU load tab.

That's definitely something wrong with your system - right now I have some program using all 4 cores on my 2600K, and I'm still was able to launch Designer, load some random file and rotate everything without a single problem.

PS: Is there some other programs that are lagging on your machine?

  3. Yesterday i've tried 1.5.0.18 for the first time on PC, and was really impressed with Designer - really good work, even for the beta.

Today i found that i'm unable to change the font in yesterday's file: every time i'm clicking the font list at the top left toolbar, it randomly moves the mouse cursor back and forth between current font at the top and font in the list, making it impossible to do anything with text.

Besides, if i'm clicking just some random font - it's not changing text at all.

    Here's short demo video: youtube.com/watch?v=21rny-gMu68

Rolled back to 1.5.0.18 - and fonts is ok now.

PS: That's why please, do not implement auto updates. Or let user control them like in windows - "notify/download updates, but let used decide when to install"
