Hi, I'm using 1.10.1.1142 right now and both program and computer still freeze when I open Designer. I don't know if this program is meant to be used on Mac platforms for higher satisfaction/performance, I sincerely doubt it because when I tried it on M1 Macbook Pro its icon bounced like 30 times, no kidding, before opening. So, it still locks. I would prefer a program that did nothing of the sort. Just start in a flash, do whatever it has to do behind and later When I learned about this program and happily bought it, it looked different, it acted differently. Nothing of the sort now. I may be in minority on this, but this is not how I prefer programs.

This page says that I have the latest vesion: https://store.serif.com/de/update/windows/designer/1/ Normally, it's the program that informs me when I can download another version. I've unchecked that info panel that showcases artwork at start. It seems any subsequent start or warm start is faster. I'll monitor it. Does disabling that panel mean that I won't get update infos? I don't seem to have found a setting where I may have disabled checking for updates.

Hello My build is 1.9.2.1035, I'm using it on Windows 10, six-core i5, 16GB memory, a nvme ssd. Whenever I start the Designer my operating system (computer) freezes. I try to open a Notepad or Windows Explorer window at the same time but I end up opening 4-5 of them because I have no feedback. I think this started with the latest builds. Whatever this is, reading fonts, compiling shaders , I strongly think it can be done more threadedly and gradually. I don't need anything Designer has to offer from the moment I start it. I do need my system/computer at that moment. I'm already thinking you'll tell me it's a feature, I'm merely suggesting that it shouldn't be. Thank you

I am using Affinity products on Windows 10 and the icons are damn ugly. Why this trend to use fully filled squares? Squares uses Adobe too but they are different. Also Microsoft on its Office products: also different. The Icon makes only the core of the square. I tried pinning Affinity icons in WIndows' start menu. it's even funnier now looking like a square within a square. But I compare it even more with blender. Maybe there is nothing special about the blender icon but is not a damn square. It has its personality. Affinity icons used to look like that too. Think of it, you see less and less of your beautiful desktop if you fill it with squares. Plus the loss of their character. Best regards, An Affinity icon hater

hi, I have this problem that I am unable to pan using the spacebar in the Windows Version 1.5.1.43 of Designer. I see the hand on screen it says Drag to pan in the statusbar but somehow cannot move anything. Using a laptop without mouse in case it matters. What am I doing wrong? Best regards, innn

Hello, I use german keyboard, but after I|ve configured to english still not able to toggle snapping axis with the quotation marks ("). is this shortcut not yet available on windows? will at least some menu entry, icon in toolbar be present? Or am I missing something as I only have two days since playing with Affinity Designer for the first time. thanks

hi there, trying 1.5.0.4 now on Windows 10 Pro x64, 8GB RAM yesterday all run smoothly but today when creating couple artboards by only trying to add text it freezes and get from windows "program has crashed..." and when tring to select paintbrush type the same. I will try to describe it as best as I can and attach few screenshots too. Before it completely freezes the whole interface of the program loses its resolution it just gets "aliased" , blurry and somehow other graphic res and then it goes under. yesterday got these instead: right is the program as close to unusable. What could have gone wrong?
