  1. OK, this is kind of a pain in the butt... I guess some kind of preflight function is pretty high on the ToDo-list (please say it is so). Finding overflowing or overlapping text frames is quite a pain especially if you have hundreds of pages. As a long time Indesign user I put the preflight pretty high on the "really need this one" list.
  2. I'm Paul Söderholm (aka Gnurf) and I have been looking for a replacement for Xara Designer Pro since I switched to mac for about 5 years ago. On my previous Mac I used Virtualbox with Windows 7 only to run Xara Designer. With my new Mac I don't want the hazzle with VM:s and Windows, and therefor went for Affinity Designer which looks really promising. With Xara Designer I created vector cartoon characters for stock sites like iStock and Shutterstock (one of my galleries here http://www.shutterstock.com/g/gnurf ). I have been busy with other projects for a few years but now I feel it would be time to pick up vector illustrations again. So my main goal with Affinity Designer is to create vector cartoon illustrations. Paul
  3. Hello, I'm new to the forum so apologies if this question has been asked before. Anyway, I now and then create vector stock images and this is the first time I've done the work with Affinity Designer, mainly because I cannot stand Adobe Illustrator. But the problem is that stock agencies usually demand you send them Illustrator compatible eps files. Therefor I always check the final art in Illustrator. When importing the eps (and pdf) files I created with Affinity, I noticed that the gradient fills have been rasterized to bitmaps (this is a usual phenomena with other programs as well). Is there any workaround to import Affinity created files to Illustrator with the gradients intact. They are simple two color gradients, nothing fancy. It doesn't have to be eps or pdf, anything will do, as I can save them as eps in Illustrator after I have checked that everything is OK. The only solution so far is to create the gradients in Illustrator. -Paul
