I've tried both with Nvidia Renderer+OpenCL enabled and WARP+OpenCL disabled and it still crashes although now the behaviour is slightly different - now i have to wait for it about a minute while the app shows Not Responding. Does crash report reveal something?

Hello, i've got crashes in Designer 2.1.1 when copying the topmost layer from a scene. After hitting Ctrl+C, the app hangs for 10-15 secs showing (Not Responding) in title bar and then crashes or sometimes it crashes straight away after copying. During a trial also i've noticed small hangs when copying some layers, it can be a picture or a layer full of vector graphics, and happens occasionally. I'm getting pretty bugged since who wants to wait 10-15 secs while copying simple stuff, right? I've never experienced it in Designer 1.8. Have you noticed this in Designer 2.1?

Reproduced the crash in a fresh installation of Designer via Virtual Machine with Windows 10 22H2, almost clear system - default Settings, no font managers etc. Also crashes after adding/deleting Levels & Threshold. Affinity Photo seems to be unaffected. P.S. Tried with Settings set to WARP & disabled OpenCL. Designer still crashes. Have you tried to crash Publisher this way? - it crashed for me previously following the same recipe on both machines. Hope crash reports will help. AP2 Crash Reports.zip AD2 Crash Reports.zip

Yeah, i meant Curves from the Layers panel. The thing is it crashes only when layers panel is in a separate floating window, but i still can't reproduce it on an another pc (Windows 11 21H2). It doesn't generate crash report - affinity window just closes. I'll try to record a screen later.

Hello, here is a crash sequence i've encountered in Affinity Designer & Publisher 2.1.0: 1. Create a new RGB A4 Document (Create Artboard: Checked) 2. Document Settings > Change Color Space to CMYK with FOGRA 39 Profile 3. Drag & Drop an RGB image 4. Window > Resourse Manager > Make Linked 5. Layers Panel > Adjustments > Curves... and it crashes. Note that the Layers panel must be in a floating window. Agreed. Tried APub 2.0.3 recently for my work instead of InDesign. Here is my thoughts... Pros - Easy to use = Fast workflow Cons - Pretty unstable & slow with 350+ pages with linked hi res (300+ dpi) images Crashed particularly when i selected images or RGB Curves on them. One thing to note here - i was using RGB Curves on CMYK images, idk is it made a difference... Sometimes i've seen 22GB+ of RAM usage in the Windows Task Manager when it hanged. - Prefs are resetting after each crash - why they don't get saved in a file? In general i'd like to see more stability and smooth performance on projects with a lot of pages. Specs: Windows 10 22H2, i7 8700K/32GB RAM, RTX 2070 Latest to date Studio Driver, NVMe Drive, Default APub prefs - just added auto update for modified images.

It's a missing feature. I had to convert all the spreads to pages just to have this arrangement, but i lost the option to judge overall design... (

It's a bunch of pictures. They're all different, but must have the same style applied. The problem is i'm not sure about the parameters - i'll probably tweak them later. In InDesign there are object styles that are editable after creation, i guess this kind of functionality isn't in APub yet.

You can of course, but with 200+ objects it's just impractical.

Hello, i'd like to add Drop Shadow effect to many objects in my project and change its parameters afterwards. Is that possible? Styles window doesn't give me this opportunity.

Hello, i'd like to know is it appropriate if my project is intended for print? There is an RGB Curve adjustment and there is a CMYK Curve, i guess CMYK is the way to go, but since i made 'em RGB already and it looks ok... Just don't want any surprices afterwards. P.S. APub 2.0.3 /Windows 22H2 crashes pretty often after adding RGB Curve - right after creating and then selecting one... IDK is it related.

Just to clarify things - to use AD tab in AP i need to buy two licenses - one for AD and one for AP, right?

Since Serif sell these apps as separate products, the chance AD will get kinda similar functionality is highly unlikely. Just for myself i can say that i'd prefer a single app that does the job instead of several ones. I'd even bought it double priced no doubt. Plus i have already a license for AD 1.X and the perspective to buy another one just to fill a gap of couple tools is not seem bright enough for me... Sure to get the job done faster i'll buy it eventually, but honestly i don't think AD 2.X worth the money compared to AD 1.X. One more license for the same app, but with the warp tool... Nah...

Hi there! When do you plan to add this features? Text Tools • Text Frame Link Feature like in InDesign & Affinity Publisher. A lot of people requested this before. I use it daily. • Text Search & Replace (Ctrl-F, Cmd-F) • Table Text Tool /w Styles • Pattern Tool or at least some form of Cloner like in Cinema 4D. Warp Fix • These tool bounding box must be auto-fit to contents dimensions, when i change the latter now i have to re-create the warp again 'cause it's not fit. What's the point in that? Making Text Object a child to Warp Container isn't a good UX, it hides the object i really need - text tool. It's better to make it in reverse - Warp to become child object or put Warp as an effect in Effects tab. Seriously, guys, you should have done this a long time before developing apps for iPad... etc.

Are you suggesting to round artboard's X,Y values? It doesn't change anything. Is there a workaround/workflow for correct export?

Yep, i've seen this a lot. For some reason Slice Tool Rect/Grid is not aligned with an Artboard.
