  1. Same issue for me as well. When I try to open the file it literally does nothing. No error or any indication that it's attempting to open the file.
  2. Same issue for me as well but I don't see any errors. Nothing happens.
  3. @MattP Any ideas as to what could be going on here?
  4. So how do you disconnect them? I'd like the shape and text separate. Thought I don't think it's affecting it. (tried rasterizing it)
  5. What's "shape text"? I see it in the layer list in the document that I'm having problems but I can't seem to reproduce "shape text" in a new document. Wondering that type of element is messing with artistic text and frame text.
  6. Copied over to a new document… color was still white so I tried changing to black but no luck.
  7. Perhaps it's because I started this document in the Beta version before the release?
  8. The layers on the right side of the last screenshot I posted. There are only two layers in it. The first is artistic text. The second frame text. Nothing. Changing colors, changing color/layer opacity, moving it around, changing the layer order... none of it makes the text visible.
  9. I just created a new artboard in the same document. This time the artistic text doesn't display but the frame text does after switching tools. As you can see the artboard is black and the text is white.Opacity is 100% on both color and the layer itself. Also the layer is visible.
  10. Correct. I copied white text into the frame text box and the color well shows it copied the white color with it. As you can see in the screenshot the background isn't white but dark. The text is white. The other screenshot shows the text itself (in the layer studio) and the color (in the color studio). Does that clear anything up?
  11. First I'm using AD 1.7 Official Release version. I copied white text from an artistic text box and pasted into the newly created frame text box. The color of the frame text box is set to white. Layer opacity is 100%. Color opacity is 100%. It's also at the top of the layer stack within the artboard. The layer studio shows text in the layer too.
  12. I'd love it if I could easily convert from Artistic Text to Frame Text with a click of a button or shortcut. I dislike having to create a new frame text and then copy the text out of the the artistic text box and past into the frame text box.
  13. All I'll say is that I'm blown away by it! And thanks for the amazing work on all 3 products (+ the iPad apps). I'm slowly converting people one by one to switch to Affinity apps from Adobe's apps. Keep up the fantastic work!
  14. So I'm using the 1.7.0.14. I have 2 documents open... #1 has 13 artboards setup to export using "continuous export". #2 has 2 artboards setup to export using "continuous export". Just as I was typing this forum post #1 exported and auto-opened all of the files into Preview. It's been randomly doing that over the last hour or two. What's triggering it, I don't know. I've not touched the file for quite a while but it randomly regenerates all of the artboard exports. Seems like a bug to me. What say you? (Off topic: how do I turn off the feature to auto open the exported files in Preview?)
  15. @dominik Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. And thanks for the tip about each spread.
  16. Is there a way to see objects/elements that are outside of the pages? I often will have stuff outside of the pages while I'm constructing the page design. Perhaps there's a preference I'm missing?
  17. I appreciate it, but I'm not sure if that really clears it up for me. I still find it confusing on the Mac version by itself but also confusing that it'd be called something different on Windows. I guess I don't understand the difference between views and views I can create via the dropdown menu and tabs/documents.
  18. Thanks for the help. I didn't expect it to be called view. Strange that it's located under "Miscellaneous" when there is a "View" menu.
  19. Oh it's called "view"? So `Switch to Next View` and `Switch to Previous View`.
  20. I'd like to change the keyboard shortcuts for how I cycle through tabs. I've been looking for a way to change the keyboard shortcut for it within the app but I haven't found it yet. Am I missing it somewhere? Perhaps it's called something I didn't expect?
  21. It's easy to cmd+click into a series of nested groups to select and element but sometimes you want select the parent or the group itself. I'd like to suggest that pressing `Esc` would then move your selection to the parent/group. Pressing it again would select the next parent element/group and so on and so forth until you at the top level. Pressing `Esc` this level would allow you to select the artboard. `Esc` at the artboard level would leave nothing selected. I suggest this because I like to try to avoid the layers panel as much as possible and stay within the canvas/artboards. Sort of an "up the chain" kind of selection through deselection. I know not everyone will like this type of workflow so maybe it could be a preference that is checked?
  22. Thanks Chris. I really appreciate it. Yeah, not being being able to get back to the previous tool is a bit frustrating. What about a “Previous Tool” or “Last Tool” option that automatically returns you to the to the last tool you used?
