That’s because BMD is in the manufacturing business, not the software business. They can afford to give away their software for free because they make their money from selling high end cinema cameras and post-pro workstations to feature film, post-production and broadcast industries. Canva is in the SaaS industry so they rely on regular subscription income. Sad to say, perpetual licensing of software is not a sustainable business model anymore, not with ever increasing wages and such.

Yes this is really annoying behavior, I wish it would keep the same brush selected when I switch between tools.

Ahhh this sucks, software companies merging never ends well for the users. Just look at what happened to Macromedia, or Softimage, or Sculptris/Zbrush. This is why we should donate to open source projects instead of handing our money to greedy corporations that don’t give a darn about their customers. Blender is proof that the open source model can be successful.

Hi For those of us who use Windows, can the onscreen command controller button labels be changed from Mac shortcuts to Windows keyboard shortcuts? I get confused by the Mac icons and would rather have them say Ctrl, Alt, Shift, etc. Thank you
