  1. Thanks Walt. I must have accidentally made a pixel selection or forgotten that I'd made one earlier
  2. Well, thanks. That sorted it, though I still don't understand why. My bad. Well done chaps.
  3. I'd like to thank you all for your efforts. I've tried all of your suggestions, but to no avail. I think that the file has become corrupted, possibly down to something wrong with my computer. I'll keep an eye on the forums for anything that comes up relating to this and see if I can make it work. Bye for now.
  4. Here's the .afphotoMattDonovan_working-file.afphoto file. Bear in mind, this is Matt Donovan's photo supplied for a tutorial. Sorry. Wrong one first. Also I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Busy day.
  5. Sadly not. I've got "Edit All Layers" checked. I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean by deactivate all layers. The opacity is at 100% for the colour, and I've tried painting black on a new pixel layer, however it's not painting.
  6. Here's the brush. I'm trying to paint a soft brushstroke, so the brush size and softness is appropriate in this case. Btw, I'm using AP v2.3.0
  7. Yeah. I added the screenshot accidentally without typing the question. I was in the process of editing it when you replied. This thread came up when I searched for answers to my issue.
  8. I was following a Matt Donovan tutorial and got to the point of adding a pixel layer to paint haze on the horizon to the right. I'd got this far before with no problem, but this time the brush tool is not painting on the pixel layer. I've reinstalled the programme and restarted my computer, but the document appears to be the problem. Re starting the editing process would be very inconvenient . Protect Alpha is not checked, opacity and flow are at 100%. Any ideas?
  9. Hi carl123. That's the camera model and lens info. My preferred workflow is to make initial adjustments such as cropping , denoising and raw processing in PhotoLab (sorry), then export as a DNG into AP2 for layer based non destructive processing._MHO1159.ORF
  10. These two are an ORF file and a TIFF of the same image. The raw files always open this dark in Affinity Photo. I've tried Tone-curve on and off, exposure bias on and off. Neither has made any difference.
