  1. Version 2.0.3 and this still occurs with pixel selection and artboard issues
  2. I first discovered this issue selecting a JPG and trying to reverse selection. As seen in the video it works on the original artboard but not the subsequent ones. In the video I’m not trying to select anything just demonstrating that it reverses correctly on artboard 1 but not on 3
  3. I see the option to invert pixel selection but when I select it, it does not invert correctly and instead selects a nearby art board
  4. I too would love if it snapped. There is no other way to curve objects around a path other than warp. Text can be placed along a curved path but not shapes and vector objects. I often import text from Canva as an svg to use their font bank but then I cannot curve the letters accurately
  5. Thought I was going crazy since i was unable to find this feature on ipad
  6. Thank you! That was extremely helpful. Still confused by all the blank layers but that may have resulted due to my ignorance.
  7. This is my issue but I don’t know how to open a svg file after I’ve already started a document. Also i do not have a version saved before adding the artboard
  8. I was working on a design and i didn’t currently have an artboard. I wanted to add one so I did. Suddenly all my layers were blank? Also I don’t know why svg files must be double tapped to expand it out into all the layers and shapes but it will randomly revert back. In the attached video I show this issue. Important to note I was designing with the text imported as an svg file and the rest was added via shape and pencil tools. When I tried to add the artboard it randomly combined it all into one ‘svg’ layer. IMG_0268.MOV
  9. Update: when i save that same file that is attached above, which i started on desktop, the boolean functions no longer work. When I open a new project on ipad, create arttext, convert to curves, and then perform boolean operations such as subtract and divide, it works.
  10. Nevermind there is a problem with boolean operations on the ipad, but if you convert the text to curves on the ipad its fine. IIRC you could use art text + vectors or shapes and boolean functions would work on V1. However, on the desktop version, both art text or converting art text to curves cause problems with boolean operation
  11. I replied with this in a different post but i am making this post individual because this is an extremely frustrating bug. Project file is attached and the video explains the problem. This problem does NOT persist on the ipad version affinity text vector boolean bug.mp4 affinity typography proj.afdesign
  12. affinity text vector boolean bug.mp4 affinity typography proj.afdesign
  13. I also have this issue when trying to use the shape builder tool with text that was converted to a curve. It does not see the borders correctly and just ignores them, selecting too much
  14. I am still trying to figure out what I should do... from this forum, I believe I want the divide function, not separate curves. However when I click divide, it does NOT divide. I attached the project file and also a brief video demonstrating my issue. affinity bug.mp4 affinity typography proj.afdesign
  15. Wait what the heck is the difference between a curve and a curves with an s and how do i convert a shape to a curveS ? I am following a tutorial from v1 that used the divide function but separate curves isn't working for what i am trying to do either
  16. This time around it happened when I was using the Selection Brush Tool. I went to go use it and clicked and dragged a few times and nothing happened. I switched back and forth between tools and it still didnt work. I minimized and maximized the screen and after a second it began to work. I am running on fully up to date windows 11 with 16 gb of ram and a good graphics card.
  17. I appreciate the honesty and I am still loving your company and mission! I just really hope that there are some major updates soon to fix some bugs and slowness
  18. Im replying to keep this alive... I am new to the AF products but my computer is new and capable of running these programs yet i am having so many little bugs and issues. I hope there is communication on when an updated version will come out. I would have happily bought the V1 versions but i do not think those are available any longer and I only had the iPad Designer before. I bought the universal license and I really wanna practice on them and get used to them but its so difficult with the lag! And yes unchecking the openCL helped a bit but not 100%
  19. On another forum someone suggested to uncheck "Enable OpenCL" and it helped me with crashing but there are still some bugs and slowness. "Edit->Preferences->Performance. There is a check box at the bottom to see if OpenCL is enabled. And it tells you what graphics card you have. Try unchecking Enable OpenCL."
  20. Maybe this is normal but it was worth dropping a thread so it is known. My normal CPU usage while running affinity photo v2 and streaming video and also having task manager open is only ever 8-12%. When I tried turning tolerance up to 90-99% on the flood selection tool and then select on a complex layer or all layers, the whole program froze for a moment but did not crash and my CPU usage shot up to 100%. What is your operating system and version: Windows 11, freshly updated What happened for you (and what you expected to happen): expected all pixels to be selected, which is eventually what happened, but my CPU usage skyrocketed and the program froze for 30seconds. Provide a recipe for creating the problem (step-by-step what you did): Have any document with many colors, choose flood select tool, turn source to all layers and tolerance to 95% and drag your mouse across the image Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers: I have one external monitor on my laptop but it never usually effects anything. I have 16gb of ram and a good graphics card. Computer is less than 1 year old
