Sorry, forgot to ask in my latest post: can a Betabuild be run in conjunction with the 1.1.2. (e.g. final) versions ?
-
Hi, Matt, where can I download a betabuild ?
Thanks,
C.L.

I've no idea if there is a possibility to slant the guidelines to a user-specified angle.
If there is, I haven't been able to find it, please tell me how to access this feature.
If there is NOT, please consider this to be a feature request.
Thanks,
CL.

Got it, it worked, thank you so much :)

Filling text with a picture as per above didn't work for me.
Typed text, fill black, no stroke
Placed picture
Dragged picture over text in layers palette, didn't fill text with picture.
Dragged text over picture, no result.
What am I doing wrong ?
Is there a tutorial that tell me the exact steps ?
Thanks,
-
I second that.
When typing small text, the entire text is covered by the handles, making the text invisible.
Smaller handles, maybe ?

Hello, MEB.
Yes, I became aware of the history panel (after awhile). Although very useful in itself, I find a quick click on an undo button at the top
easier to work with. But that's just my preference. Maybe it's the position of the history panel, way down in the RH bottom corner that I find awkward to work with ?
Still finding my way around the program, so perhaps I'll get used to it.
BTW : very promising program. So far I like it very much. Thanks.

Thanks, just checked the system prefs. Scrollbars are set to "always". Yet, they do not show "always" in AD. OS = OSX 10.9.5

I am having trouble to insert (not attach) pictures and/or photos into a post to this forum. I have seen more users that seem to have trouble with this. Would someone please explain how to do this ?
Thank you so much ! :)

On my iMac the H&V scrollbars only become visible after first "initiating a scroll" with the mouse.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a "design feature" ? I set the interface color as light as possible.

A simple "undo"toolbar-button in addition to the keystroke cmd+z would do me just fine, thanks guys :) !

Thanks for your answer. However, judging from the picture, this is not quite what I meant.
What I mean is, from the LH corner crossing of the Horizontal and the Vertical ruler, to drag the measurement
down to anywhere the user wants the zero point ( of both Hor&Vert) to be in the drawing and pin it there.

I am new to Affinity but I certainly like it so far.
I have 25 years experience with other vector graphic programs (windows platform).
One very handy feature I've always found (Corel draw) is a moveable zero point on the rulers.
It gives you the opportunity to take exact measurements without having to go through all sorts of click-sequences or sub-menus.
Perhaps there are other users who would like to see this feature implemented ?

That's not quite what I meant,
I meant the ability to freely rotate an H-V existing guideline.
