  1. One addition to my previous post: working on a R5 highness file, having opacity and flow set to 100%, the blur brush tool is still very "timid" even at the level. At 20% probably not even noticeable... That should definitely be improved! πŸ™πŸ»
  2. @walt.farrell thanks a lot! That was the solution, or maybe just part of it! I deactivated Hardware Acceleration, but left it for Display on Metal. Tried use only integrated GPU, which slowed down everything unbearably. Tried all possible setting on Display and left it at Metal. NOW the blur tool works, as it should. Attached my settings panel (Mac) Hope that helps!
  3. I can confirm this! I'm on the latest version of AP. I can confirm that it works fine on low resolution JPGs on high resolution JPGs/Tiffs it's hardly visible. I have to repeat the blurr stroke at least a hundred times to see only a slight difference... πŸ™„ really really weirdΒ°
  4. @PΕ‘enda to be honest, I prefer everything embedded in my document, even if it gets large. I don't like linked images. Working with other layout softwares this was never an issue exporting the package, since it always included everything (that's what I understand under package) Anyway, now I know... πŸ™„ I look into the Export Persona, thank you πŸ™πŸ»
  5. Hi I'm not succeeding saving embedded images with the "save as package" function in AP. Of course everything possible is selected, but the images folder stays empty. Fonts are saved though. No error message pops up. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  6. @Dan C thanks a lot for your elaborate answer! It actually makes sense even though it's quite overwhelming. I will still do most of the work in each specific app to get the benefit of all tools. Nonetheless it's extremely practical when it comes to a case like my specific questions. thanks πŸ˜€
  7. @thomaso Thanks for the broad hint! πŸ˜‰ I always used the Affinity apps separately, but the Personas are actually beyond helpful. Found this video on YT which gives some further details...
  8. @thomaso thanks a lot for your elaborate answer πŸ™πŸ» now this might sound completely stupid, but I have always thought that the "personas" are just links to hand over between the different apps to edit an image placed in a picture frame in Publisher in Photo... πŸ€” Or is this a fundamental incorrect understanding of Personas? And they rather allow features of Affinity Photo to be used within Affinity Publisher? Like transformations. @Dan C thank you as well, but I have not installed Designer yet on my MBP, just on my iPad, as I'm just an absolute beginner with Affinity Designer
  9. Hi I know in Affinity Photo I can transform objects and their perspective. In Affinity Publisher I have only found the possibility to flip, move, crop, rotate BUT not transform a picture frames perspective.... is this even possible? Or am I missing something? and if not could that be a future feature request? thanks πŸ€“
  10. I could read your old post and must agree to what you said! In my experience on my M1 Mac blur only works well on smaller jpgs. As soon as I use 50 mpx images the changes between the steps are barely noticeable. It would take hours to see a difference. Have you found a solution? What made you edit your post to "never mind"? PS: working with the newest Affinity suite!
  11. couldn't agree more! But I guess PS/Adobe is still their main target... but honestly I haven't missed Photoshop or Indesign for a minute! πŸ€“
  12. thanks for pointing that out to me! I'm a binary person, I like a yes or a no! πŸ˜‚ At least no crashes! πŸ‘πŸ»
  13. Update: even though the plugin seems to be unknown, within Affinity Photo there is under filter -> plugins -> Anthropics -> PortraitPro I tested a file and clicked the above filter (plugin) and the PortraitPro Studio app opens. And I can make all alternations. I made a new background layer before, to keep it non destructive. Works fine... so strange it still tells me in prefs it's still "unknown" πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  14. This is what it looks like, when I put the plugin into the dedicated AP plugin folder under (alt) library. And what it looks like within APv2 thanks! PS: as you can see my plugin is called differently PortraitProPSFilter and not PSFilterPPLauncher.plugin
