  1. not a problem, would you also be able to send CoverPattern2A4.afdesign too using the same link, it looks like you have a separate document embedded. Thanks, Lee
  2. Hi The Beagle, Sorry to hear you are still having issues with lag in Affinity Designer. Could you confirm if you are having these performance issues with Metal acceleration enabled or disabled? If you would be willing to share a file that is giving you poor performance -using this link- , we'd love to take a look and see if we can find out what is causing these issues. Thanks, Lee
  3. Hi Nicola, To investigate this further would it be possible for you to use -this link- to send us a copy of your project (saved as a package as shown below)? Lee
  4. There have been numerous performance improvements since 1.8, without any specifics it's hard to answer your question, however this post may be of interest. I'm not sure what you mean by having to buy a new license to upgrade. If you previously owned Designer on your Mac, you can reinstall it without paying to upgrade. Lee
  5. Hi AbdouAllâh, This is normal, not all addons are compatible with all of the applications; some may be specific to a single application. Lee
  6. Hi and welcome to the forums Utzenhammer, To get your logo to look as if it's blended onto the t-shirt below you need to borrow the highlights and shadows from the image below it, but it's important to realise that perception of colour and the colour of each pixel are often quite different. For example, the crease on the right side of your logo you would expect to see the logo a little paler where the light is catching the highlight of the t-shirt Yet your eyes would not perceive the logo as having changed colour. For a simple and mostly passable method of blending you could use the multiply blend mode for your logo layer, if you wish to go a little further then I would recommend taking a look at this tutorial by IAMREMSI on YouTube, particularly from 5:50 onward. 7. Hi Barny, As others have mentioned, the dodge and burn tools carry out a destructive process carried out directly on the layer with the pixel data (in your case your photograph). You can achieve the exact same results non-destructively by adding two adjustment layers and using the fill tool to paint them fully black (to affect no pixels), one with a positive brightness value, one with a negative. You can then paint white onto these layers using the paint brush tool using a basic round brush to essentially recreate a dodge/burn effect depending on which adjustment layer you have selected. You can then adjust your adjustment layers brightness values to suit or even to over exaggerate your changes whilst you work on them. It's helpful to think of adjustment layers as layers of data that tell the adjustment how much to do and where, ranging from 0% affected (black) to 100% affected (white) and everything in between.
  8. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I've been able to replicate this and have forwarded to the Devs. Many Thanks, Lee
  9. Hi Lauwersp, I've had a look at the image/s provided, by default on our system neither shows any particular haze beyond what's expected in those conditions, however it may be possible that a setting in your Affinity Photo may be disabled that can cause this. In the develop persona, click View>Assistant Manager... and under "tone curve" make sure it is set to "Apply tone curve" and not "Take no action". If this does not resolve the issue could you please supply a screenshot of your Assistant Manager window? Lee
