Summerman started following Resizing object width or height after it is rotated
-
Is there a way to resize an object in Designer after it is rotated instead of the size it really is? For example if I create a square that is 2 x 2 inches and rotate it the object as it sits on the page is now wider than 2 inches. Is it possible for me resize the rotated width instead of the default actual width of the object as it was created before it was rotated?

In Designer v2 I'm trying to select a text object below another text object and when I hover the cursor over the object I want to select and click the object above is always selected. I'm trying to do this at Zoom to Fit view. This does not happen in the previous version of Designer. Is there a work around or a setting I need to change in the Preferences that I'm not seeing?

I just started today using and learning Affinity Photo coming from GIMP. When I take pictures of my art works with my mobile phone the art needs to be straighten most of the time on all four sides. In GIMP I use guides that I drag out from the rulers and use the Perspective tool to click on all four corners of a crooked rectangle in the image and then I drag each of the corners of the selection to make all of the sides straight. I'm trying to figure out if I can do something similar in Photo or if there is another way to achieve the same results. I tried to drag guides from the rulers but I don't see anything. I've included a sample of image that needs to be straightened a bit on all the sides. Some sides more than others.

Thanks everyone for the input and suggestions. Here is what I ended up doing last evening. I opened the Publisher document I have been working on then started a new one. I copied the elements from the first Publisher document and pasted and positioned the groups of elements on the master pages respectively. That did the trick without too much extra work. I think I will try editing the svg file just to see how it works and satisfy my curiosity. Onward with the exploration.

Thanks for the responses. I just started working with a trial version of Publisher for Windows yesterday on my Surface Book 3, running Windows 11, to see what it is all about before committing to it. So far I have liked the experience. I should have posted a screen shot but neglected to late last night. So here is a full screen shot. I am learning about spreads, pages and artboards. As you can see in the image on the left where the thumbnails of the pages or spreads or artboards are listed, the names of each of the thumbnails is listed as svg2. I created this document by opening an Inkscape svg file and moving things around thinking it would cut out a lot of extra work having to build from scratch and to check out the possibilities. Everything works except this slight oddity. Hopefully this helps.

I opened an svg file I created in Inkscape and used it and elements to create a new Publisher document. Everything came over just fine. When I add new pages to the document the page numbering designations in the pages panel reads svg2 for page 1 and svg2 for page 2 (the same thing for all pages). How do I change it to read 1, 2, 3 and so on instead every page as svg2?
