  1. I downloaded Jeffries ico files. Dropped them to the C:\Windows\System32 folder (accept admin permissions) and updated the shortcut properties. I had already done this with v1. but really, why don't Serif provide appropriate .ico files with transparency???
  2. Here here!! I hope Serif/Affinity are working on this which is a big omission when compared to Illustrator.
  3. I'm on v2.1 now and still hoping to get real vector brush capability like Adobe Illustrator. Not just a vector line in the 'solid' brush category. When will I be able to create a vector (ala SVG) that stays as a vector after Exporting. In V2.04, if I imported a PDF created with Illustrator which contained a solid vector brush, I could use this as a solid vector brush in Designer, a pure vector, however, when I Exported it the vector brush became pixels. With v2.1 this function disappeared and each imported vector brush element from Illustrator now becomes a separate vector element in the Exported file. However, the element is no longer connected with solid vector brush attributes. So it's a step forward retaining the vectors but no progress on solid vector brushes. When will we be able to import. Ofcourse Ctl-J can be used to make a simple line of identical items. Not like a brish really.
  4. To add the icons to the desktop (Win10) I dragged the links from the start menu to the desktop. However the icon images don't have transparency, so they show small orange corners where they should have been rounded. I think Affinity have some issues regarding how shortcut icons are managed. (Win10). No shortcuts were replaced on the desktop when I upgraded to v2.1 and I had some experimenting to get them on the desktop. Most resulted in no shortcut icon image.
  5. While Adobe Illustrator supports pure vector brushes, this isn't the case with Affinity Designer. Too bad because I'm trying to migrate an InDesign document to Publisher and the embedded solid vector brushed in AI are converted to bitmaps in Designer. I've tried every way to construct a custom Solid Brush but Designer requires saving the brush design to a PNG file first, hence bitmap, and the pure vector is lost. Looks like I'll have to create an SVG image of the Illustrator brush stroke and import it. That's not a useful way to move ID publications to Publisher. Serif... please add support for Solid Brushes with pure vectors. (SVG) KM
  6. Hardware acceleration was already disabled. I've attached a screenshot of the Performance settings. Maybe the Nvidia card is an issue.
  7. When I am using the erase tool it works as expected about 80% of the times I place the brush on the artwork. However, randomly, it will move with the brush but not erase anything underneath the erase tool. It is not related to the size of the brush and the Opacity, Flow and Hardness are 100% although this isn't a factor as the problem persists independant of these settings. The problem goes away after lifting the brush and lowering again to continue erasing. It would be nice to have a Settings function that would indicate the characteristics of the input from the stylus, such as pressure and slope, etc., in order to see what is read by the Affinity application rather than what Wacom's interface shows within Windows10. I'm on version 1.10.4 with Win10 on Intel 64bit. Wacom Bamboo CTH-460/K
