  1. I don't think you understand what my issue is. How would you go about making sure that every node is placed in 5% increments? And how do you control 2 nodes placed ontop of each other to get a hard edge?
  2. Yes, but you can't control the placement of each node. For that you have to use the gradient view that I mentioned. Selecting specific nodes becomes a chore if you have too many nodes that overlap in range view.
  3. First off, I'm loving Affinity Designer 2! Thank you Serif I've recently been working quite a bit with gradients and have some thoughts on improving the feature. As it is right now you have to click on the Fill colour in the context toolbar or Appearance tab to get a more detailed gradient view. There are two issues. 1). The gradient view closes if you click outside of the view. 2). The gradient view is very small (especially the colour range) and it's impossible picking a specific node in the range if you have many. A solution to this would be to have a seperate Gradient tab (just like Colour/Swatches/Strokes/etc). This would allow for a clearer and larger view of all the gradient settings. It would even be great if each node could be selected from a list allowing for more control over how the gradient looks. Just my thoughts
  4. You could create a new fill under Appearance and change it to a gradient with seperate colours. If you click on the Fill you can change its Opacity so that the other gradient is visible as well. Blend mode can also change how the colours interact with each other. Hope this helps
  5. +1 Being able to copy gradients back and forth between Illustrator and Designer would be really nice. Here's hoping that version 2.0 doesn't rasterize in the same way version 1 does.
  6. Would be interesting to know the development of this post.
  7. +1 Would be really nice to know what brush was used 😄 Would also be nice to be able to "Star" favourites in a list instead of copying and make duplicates.
  8. I don't know if this has been reported already, but thought I'd report my first bug 🙂 I discovered that if you set any kind of pressure profile on a path that has rounded sharp corners; it breaks the stroke of that path. Both lines have round caps and joins. Interestingly enough you get a correct result when you expand the stroke. I'm currently using Windows version 1.9.2.1035 Thank you Serif for such an awesome program!
  9. I fully support a revamped 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 🙃 dashed line style
  10. I like the idea of having such a feature and find the name would suit the purpose perfectly. I'd love for the user to be able to define amount and spacing horizontally and/or vertically. An addition cool feature would be if you could replicate an object along a path 😉
  11. When will they be addressed? It's still an issue in 1.9.2. If I want to perserve handle ratios, I still have to drag + right click!!!
  12. Has this been improved at all? I'm testing on PC and am wondering if the PC version is still lacklust compared to the Mac version.
  13. I'm wondering if there are any plans on adding a sixth operation that removes the overlapping object from the lower object, but both objects remain after the operation? Currently I have to make a duplicate of the overlapping object and then use one of the objects to subtract from another shape. It's not the biggest deal. It would just be a nice feature to have. Especially if you're working with transparencies and don't want the objects underneath to be visible.
