  1. Yes i have the text item selected. and yes i double-clicking the name of the field, the problem was solved by installing version 2.5.7 as soon as it was made available. I don't know what caused the problem, what I can say is that I followed the expected procedures, in the master page I inserted the text item with the blinking cursor inside, in reference-fields-document sections I double-clicked on "Name:" and nothing happened. The thing was common to all the entries contained in document sections: Name, Running header, page number and so on.
  2. Double click works in other windows only in the fields window this does not happen even if it has a value, I have given a name to all the sections of the document.
  3. Hello, as per the title the double click does not work in the reference-field window, I tried to reinstall the App without solving the problem, I work on Win 11 platform and I installed the .exe version. The only possibility I have to insert any field is to use the right mouse button, in the reference-field window no field is clickable. I do not know if it is a bug and I apologize if I posted in the wrong section of the forum. I hope to receive some advice to solve the problem. Thanks
  4. Thanks MEB, it works. I never changed the blend mode in the context tool bar, it went default after doing the update, it floored me and I thought it was a bug. I will be more careful in the next update.
  5. HI, after updating to version 2.3 of Affinity Photo the masks no longer work. I've tried using them on all the adjustments and filters, the result is always the same. I attach a short video where I used the level adjustment, I inverted it, the mask was normally created but when I use the brush tool with white color set and 100% flow, nothing happens on the image, while the adjustment should be revealed I think it's a bag for this reason I posted on this forum, if I'm wrong I apologize to the moderators. For more info I work on the Win 11 platform with 16 Giga of Ram, Open GL deactivated, masks.mp4
  6. Ciao DWright, i sent the file requested on Dropbox
  7. Ciao DWright, In order not to make the topic infinite, I preferred to wait for someone from support to explain the problem and its solution. I I already use the .exe version of the software, this was one of the first tests done to solve the problem after I stopped posting, this was followed by many others that I won't list here because they didn't solve the issue. Disappointed with negative results I was determined first to go back to V1 then to reset the notebook starting from a clean installation of Windows 11, luckily I stopped before doing it, I remembered that at the same time as the 2.0.4 update I had created a profile ICC using the Windows tool in addition to what is available for the video card, making this profile primary for the system. In Windows color management I restored the old system ICC profile, deleting the one I created, the problem was solved, Affinity Photo V2 started to open quickly without excessive CPU consumption and it still is. For enthusiasts I created a new color profile using Displaycal and my Colomunky this profile works and creates no problems. For the support, I blamed the V2 of the software because it was the only one of the programs I use to create the problem of excessive CPU consumption and a long opening time other programs like Photoshop, even with that clumsily created ICC profile, did not present the same problem . Thank you all
  8. Hi Lee D thank you for your reply, and I understand the reasons for the delay, I don't want to contradict you but I believe that V2 has some problems which are normal for every new version of any software. To test this I reduced my font collection by 2/3, only the system fonts and those used by the installed Apps and which are impossible to delete. I currently have only 75 fonts installed. They are updated as well as all other drivers. This was the first thing I did before posting. While verifying all that you have suggested, the opening time of V2 requires Job's patience, which did not happen with V1 which I have used, with satisfaction, for more than two years on this same machine from which I am writing and on which it is installed the V2. I don't like bumping topics by writing nonsense to get them to the top of the forum, so I opened another topic, after a few days, with a more impactful title in the hope of being able to solve the problem, this is the link. I advise you to take a look at it because it has a large amount of screenshots and videos that will give you the real idea of what I'm talking about. I'm not against you but with you and I love working with your software but not in these conditions.
  9. After a short break I'm back with the latest. I followed all the tests suggested in the post, the answer is that there are no problems for both the hardware and the software. Regarding the Celeron CPU I know that it is not the best and in any case the judgment is also influenced by our experiences, I simply report mine. For 12 years I worked with an HP notebook with a celeron CPU I think of 1500 GHZ and with only 4 Giga of ram, yet I worked simultaneously with Photoshop and Camtasia studio, two programs that cannot be defined light without slowing down even with heavy files. I only retired the notebook after a Win. 10 burned the sound card, now children play with it. Before posting I wanted to do one last test, I downloaded V1 with the latest update, I started it with the taskmanager open the CPU consumption is between 25% and 35% against 80% 100% of V2. Opening time and complete interactivity V1 about 1 minute against 4 minutes for V2. I won't weigh down the topic with other images or videos, I've already done everything to show and my conclusion is that V2 has problems, just sift through the topics of this forum, I don't think all those reporting V2 opening problems all have a Celeron CPU. Before purchasing the V2 license, I read the minimum specifications to run the App at its best, my machine went well beyond the specifications themselves. I look forward to the developers finding a solution. One last thing and then I'll stop, in March 2021 I had a similar problem with V1 and with the solution suggested by support it was resolved, take a look at this topic https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php? /topic/137766-photo-start-slowly-on-desktop/ I hope someone suggest me something like this
  10. I preferred to make two separate videos one for the CPU and one for the processes using Loom online service as my screenrecorder software uses a lot of CPU, in both cases opening Affinity Photo uses about 40% of the CPU a lot more than what you highlighted with the screenshot of your computer 16%. As you can see in the second video (Processes) what creates a big doubt for me is that for the opening of the App two processes are displayed, I don't know if this is normal, moreover between the two processes there is the presence of this crashpad_handler.exe file that I don't know what it's for and if it's normal to exist. Here the link for the CPU screenrecord and here the one for the processes Before closing to complete the information in the two videos posted now and also in the previous ones, a white band is visible at the top inside which the message "The application is not responding" appears.
  11. Hi, first of all I apologize to everyone for having inserted the Ram of my old notebook (16 Giga), the one on which I work now has 12 Giga and it is the same machine that I used to run V1 of AffinityPhoto, with this version, the 1 , I've never had slowness problems both in terms of opening the App and even files of 50/60 MB. Having clarified this, I will try to respond to each of you by quoting you. I think there is nothing physically wrong with my computer, I open other Apps at the same time without slowdown problems, and yes I have reinstalled version 2.0.3 Before the screenshot the Ram usage was 8 GB, I tried lowering it to see if that changed anything Here is the video requaired Tried nothing change Affinity-2.mp4
  12. Hi Carl Nothing change, about the micro card i tried to open the same image in the video from the desktop, also in this case there are no changes. I think it is an App's problem. Sorry for the screenshot misunderstandig i know how to do it, here are two, the first concerns the general tab, the second one the performance, i think these two are important for the problems exposed. If you need the others let me know. This info is for the devolopers: the situation worsened after upgrading to V2.0.3
  13. Hi firstdefence, i am unable to find this voice in my registry editor and yes i have a ssd drive, as a note i tried to lower the undo limit but nothing change regarding the GPU i have not Nvidia. Hi Carl123, the volume E is a micro sd card (last generation) in version 1 of the software it never created any problems for me to open the files, and last where is the screenshot?
  14. Hy Guys, Take a look at the attached video, I preferred not to comment it to leave you the pleasure of guessing my thoughts while I wait for the App to start. Besides the problem of waiting interminably for the interface to be visible, I have to consume more time to get the menu bar fully interactive (see the movement of the mouse pointer). What to say about the delay with which a simple 3.1Mb jpg opens or the time lost to have any tool fully operational, in my case I used the clone brush, a few seconds, true, but added to the others... I work with Win 11, 16 Giga of ram, on the same machine version 1 has never given me problems so much that I preferred it to Photoshop. For more info the video card is updated as well as the operating system and the openCl is disabled, I tried to uninstall the App, manually cleaned the C drive from all the Affinity folders so as not to leave any trace of the App, I reinstalled the software by validating the license as required by the new installation, solved... nothing. Before this topic I opened another one a few days ago no one from the support intervened, I understand that they are busy with the new version, but I can't continue like this, I hope someone shows up. Affinity.mp4
  15. Hi Brad, I am not able to find the folder you indicated, even the path in which to find it at least on Windows does not exist, among other things the new version for Windows is a sandboxed MSIX app so it does not appear in the programs installed in the control panel. Unfortunately the problem goes from bad to worse, at the moment of writing, in addition to waiting 3 minutes for the interface to be fully visible, I have to wait at least another minute before any tab becomes interactive. Let's not talk about the waiting time for opening even a small file or the delay to see any tool fully functional. I'm seriously considering reinstalling version 1.
