  1. I haven't even got to that point, I'm stuck at that bit right at the start. What's that circular thing that's clicked on?
  2. Thank you! That's exactly the info what I needed ☺️ Just to clarify, what is that first step where you have a small circle? Sorry for the noob question
  3. I'm probably explaining myself badly. The upload image gives you example, it is a group that consists of text boxes, shapes etc. I want the text box to be centre on the page (for example) but at the moment it uses the whole group as it's point of reference rather than the text box. Is there a way in publisher you can nominate an item in a group to be the thing it uses for such operations?
  4. Hello! Is there a way I can select an object in a group to be the object that will be the thing that will snap or align on a page while still keeping the other objects in the group in the positions relative to that key object. i.e if I have a text box with an image etc next to it but want to centre that text box on a page while keeping that image in the same position in relation to the text box Sorry for my convoluted sentence structure! Paul
  5. Oh okay, I'm with you now! No, no text has been converted to curves. I've been playing around with export setting and checking the Rasterise Everything box and that seems to have halved the file size to a more respectable 7mb at 96 dpi Thank you for getting back to me!
  6. Thank you! And thank you for replying 🙂 Excuse my ignorance but how would I check if it's being converted to curves? Cheers
  7. Hello there, I've just finished an impact report for a charity I work for and when I've come to exporting to PDF the file size is @15 mb which is a bit big for emails etc. It won't compress any further no matter what settings I use. Usually these reports I produce will compress to about 2 or 3 mb quite happily when selecting small size PDF on the export menu but not in this case and I'm stumped as to why. I tried it in a trial version of Publisher 2 with the same result. The document is 28 pages long and not image heavy. Can you help?! Paul
  8. Thanks Dan, I'd also tried different compression settings with no luck or difference in file. A few of the images have really high DPI (over a 1,000 DPI). Could those be throwing a spanner in the works somehow? Thank you for time and help!
  9. Hi Dan, Thanks for looking into this for me! I can confirm I've uploaded the relevant package Paul
  10. Thanks for the feedback! It turns out a linked image was being reversed in the document, so I'm guessing that was causing the modified message every time? Still trying to work why exporting with the small digital PDF preset is giving me a large file (22-27mb) rather than the usual 1 or 2 mb files I usually get with this option on other documents? Cheers, Paul
  11. Hi, I'm running the newest version Publisher. It keeps telling me certain documents are modified even if I've only just opened them which doesn't make sense. Also, when exporting these as a small size PDF (72dpi images compressed etc) they are 22 mb in size which considering the original images aren't that large is ridiculous. Any ideas? Paul
  12. I'd ordered two workbooks on the 2nd December (Designer and Photo) and got the Photo one after about a week. The Designer still hasn't arrived and it's not looking like it's going to at this rate. Have emailed a few times to see what happening but just a standard reply about demand etc. Really disappointed as I needed the book to help with a report for a charity I have to compile and would just like some clarification on the situation.
  13. I made an order for both the Photo Workbook and Designer Workbook (Order BFFP3YNB4J) on the 2nd of December. Got an email saying they were dispatched but only ever received the Photo Workbook. It's now been two weeks and no sign. What's going on?
  14. I still haven't received the Designer Workbook and it's been two weeks.
