  1. Have made more testing now with above problems… It seems that Photo 2.10 beta 17.89 have problem handling the RAW-files from my Sony RX-100 VI camera… If I make an Batch Job converting a bunch of this Raw-files (.ARW extension) Photo 2.10 output almost complete dark pictures to JPG-format (100% 15MB)… The same Batch Job in retail Photo 2.04 output perfect JPG-files… So, it must be something with Photo 2.10 beta 17.89 that is wrong handling RAW-files from Sony cameras that also crashes in HDR Merge jobs…
  2. Hi there! Bought an camera 2019 that has not been much used (Sony RX-100 mark VI), but, yesterday I loaded it and took some bracketing pictures just to test HDR Merge into Affinity Photo 2.10 17.89. Had a serie of nine pictures to test, but, Photo 2.10 is crashing after the pictures is loaded… Tested same nine pictures into Affinity Photo 2.04 and that works flawless - the same happened with my Macbook Pro, working fine in 2.10 beta… Strange thing number two: on both 2.04 (iPad) and Mac 2.10 this HDR merge endresult have a strange vignette in all corners? Is that a bug also? Non of the nine sourcepictures has this vignetts… See attach endresult and one of the sourcefiles… DSC00983.ARW
  3. Great to hear! Niagara River green? Did you choose among all 15 different coloring presets?
  4. Why start another thread about this? There are already several threads that take this issue to discussion… Try to read this:
  5. Thanks for a deep explanation of this “problem”… I will avoid using this kind of clipart in the future…
  6. Perhaps wrong place to write about this, but, it concerns both version 1.x and 2.x of Designer/Publisher on iPad. When I trying to place (or import thru drag’n’drop) some EPS-files I have crashes out to springboard on my iPads (both 12.9” M1 and 10.5” A10X). Can someone else here try to place two files I attached here, and see what’s wrong here? Thanks in advance! 11.eps Set_of_Fruits.eps
  7. Affinity is a niche product with “only” three million users - Adobe CC (supports RTL) has 30 million users, so, if you wants RTL there’s a lot of other choices out there that can do RTL… We other three million continue to use Affinity with LTR.
  8. If now Canva support RTL, why not use Canva instead of Affinity Suite? Isn’t Canva for free in standard version? Don’t expect to have RTL in Affinity before version 3.0…
  9. As we speaking about fonts/typefaces, what font/fonts is your favorite? Also, which variable fonts is most awesome? My favorites is Scala, Pitagon, Officina and Literata… Use to like Bookman in the past…
  10. What do you mean with “hinting” and “hints”? I’m Swedish, and hint for me hasn’t nothing to do with typographics, or?
  11. Hmmm… I don’t get it - if you buy a commercial pro font (static), it has thousands of crafted kerning-pair for ‘optical correction’… It shouldn’t be any difference between a static and a variable font concerning readability/kerning/tracking…
  12. Just looked at Fontshop.com - full family of Gill Sans cost 568 Euro... If you then wants 10 to 20 pro fonts it will be 10000 Euro, almost like a new powerful Mac!
  13. A little OT, but, what marketplace is best to buy high quality Variable/static Fonts with great kerning/ligatures?
  14. In some point I think I'm right what I did writing here. As I said - people have been doing incredible things with computers for more then 30 years without Variable Fonts, so, what some is thinking here on the forum that they can't work with Affinity because they not supporting these fonts... There are 10000 fonts out there, both free and cheap commercial that can make good typographic... Time will tell when Serif Labs is supporting Variable Fonts, but probably not before 3.0 release...
  15. I can’t understand the exaggerate of the need of Variable Fonts… Designers/art people/typographic people has for decades made stunning works, WITHOUT Variable Fonts… And, you can load Variable Fonts into Affinity Suite and use them as ordinary fonts with multiply styles/weights, but not as variable sizing… There are too many other features into Affinity Suite that goes before implementing Variable Font (Spiral tool, Blend tool, Data Merge/Books (iPad) etc etc…
  16. Tested this on my iPad Pro 12.9” M1 and couldn’t make this happened… Four pictures in a group, each with different opacity and Blend Mode - saved, closed, reopened - everything is just as before saving… It must be something else going on with you iPad… Affinity Photo 2.10 beta build 1769…
  17. Just the ordinary button that move objects/textframes/Master Pages etc forward/backwards/to front/to back…
  18. WHY start yet another thread about this issue? We will drown in threads if every user here starting threads with the same issue/questions…
  19. Hi again mr Farrell! I don’t know if it is some misunderstanding involved here, but, what I understand in the above conversation it was the features to move a Master Page from the bottom of the layerstack to the top instead, in a whole document… Tested this on my iPad this morning: 150 A4 pages (facing) with a Master A page on all 150 pages (on the bottom of the layer stack). Highlight the Master on first page, choose ‘Edit Linked’ and execute the ‘Move to Front’ - voila, every Master Page have now been moved on top in the whole document… Have I missed something?
  20. The same way you described on desktop Publisher… See screenshot… @R C-R
  21. I don’t get, as above attached file (Thunder font), is giving me 38 different weights/styles from one single file… What I mean is that support for Variable Fonts isn’t critical because one single file is giving us many many different weights in Publisher… Try to install the attached fontfile above and test in Mac or iPad…
