    Hi @angelhdz12 I haven't been able to recreate this. I made my heart file in Designer and placed it in to the second blank document. The layer thumbnail updated when I changed the colour of the heart. What file type did you place? This might be why I couldn't reproduce it. Could you upload your heart file here so I can try it in my document please?

    HI @Brady513 Welcome to the Affinity forums. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I've just opened your file in 1.8.4 and I made a change and attempted to save and it crashed for me too. Can you tell me, does this happen if you start a new file and try and to save or it is this specific document that is causing the issue? I will have a look at your document and see if I can find anything obvious.

    Hi @qrispy Welcome to the Affinity forums. All of the other links that you mention open browser windows, are you having any other issues with opening your browser? Would you be able to upload a video of this so I can see it as it happens?

    That's great news @PJD - thanks for the help @zimmt it's not a setting I've ever used before so was not aware of it, despite having 3 printers currently. 👍 I have passed this extra information on to the development team.

    Thanks for the video. I'd logged it now and included all your information. Threads usually get updated when an issue has been fixed and included in a new version.

    Thanks for the crash report, I'm going to log this issue as specific to your printer. Before I do would you be able to try removing your printer from Printers & Scanners in System Preferences and then re-adding it? It might clear the problem. If this doesn't work is there any way you could make a small video of this happening so I can include it in with the issue? If you could enable Mouse Click first as well that could be a big help Click Cmd + Shift + 5 > Select Options - Show Mouse Clicks

    Thanks for the video, that was a big help as I've managed to recreate the crash on both Mac & PC. I've also managed to create some nested symbols from scratch and they also cause a crash. I have logged the issue and passed the information on to the development team.

    Hi @PJD Sorry to hear you are having this issue. Would you be able to upload the crash report here so we can take a look please? Glad you have a workaround so can still work. When I had issues with a Canon printer years ago they told me to always print from Preview too so I got into the habit of not printing from apps.

    Ahhh that was it, I have recreated it now. It was the 6 decimal places. Mine was set to 1. I have spoken to my colleagues and this is by design. I realise when you input the number manually it may be confusing that it doesn't snap to the maximum but by dragging the corner in you do get the information that shows you what the maximum value is.

    Nice signature. I'm not sure what is different then as I am currently trying to recreate this with 1.8.5.703. This is what it looks like. I get 40 mm instead of the 39.99992 mm that you get.

    Ahh ok. Can you make a video of the crash and upload here for me so I can see the steps I need to take to make it crash please? I have been unable to recreate this so far and I have copied a large square 10 times without any issue. If you could also upload your file in case there is something I am missing that would also be great. Thanks.

    Hi @sujeesh Welcome to the Affinity forums! I've just tried what @carl123 suggested and the DPI settings are retained at 76.2 in the Document Setup. I can only suggest you give it a test to see if your tiff files are recognised by the printer. Good luck.

    Hi @Olias welcome to the Affinity forums. Can I just confirm, are you making a template that is 21 metres by 20 metres? Have you checked with your printer to see if they need the file to be that large? Most printers only require the files to be around 10% to make large banners, if they are fully vector. So that would be 2100mm x 2000mm. If all vector the dpi is irrelevant but if there are images being used the higher the dpi the better - but this will make the file massive.

    Hi @skybow Also welcome to the Affinity forums! As above, are you able to reliably recreate the crashes that you are experiencing? If so can you show me in a video? I can also provide you with a dropbox folder link if you don't want to upload your document publicly.
