MaryLennox
Hello. I have been trying to blend a photo into a solid colour, but can't seem to get it right. I've tried using a rectangle and adjusting the gradients and opacity, but I just end up with a very straight looking line, even if the gradient on the blending edge is set to 0%. I figure there most be some other way to do this. I have attached a photo of what I am trying to do. I am using Affinity Photo.

MaryLennox
Hi. Psensa. Thank you - I see how to do what you've explained, but what brush should I be using? Mine still looks nothing like the example.
MaryLennox
Okay - so I just went and watched a tutorial video and I understand what you were saying about the softness of the brush. I didn't realize there were adjustmetns across the top. Thank you!
MaryLennox
I have a follow up question now...how do I get an image into the bottom/coloured blended area, such as:
MaryLennox
As usual...after posting I think I figure out a way to do it. I changed the colour of the bottom image to the new colour, then added a fill layer of that colour and did the same as before. I don't know why I didn't think of that previously. lol. But if there's another way to do it, please share! Thanks.
