Matt D Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 I am running on a Mac with Mojave and using affinity photo 1.7.2 when I import RAW imaged from my Canon 50D i get strange blobs appearing in the pictures. And on import, the application crashes frequently. I opened the same pictures on my MacBook pro which has an older OS and an older version of Affinity and I have no issue pictures are fine? Matt. Staff Lee D Posted September 2, 2019 Staff Posted September 2, 2019 I've just tested loading a sample RAW image from a Canon 50D into Photo 1.7.2 on macOS Mojave using both the SerifLABS and Apple Core RAW engines and it loaded without issue. How does the image appear if you open it in Preview on the mac also running Photo 1.7.2? Can you provide a link to the same RAW file so I can take a look. Quote
- S - Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Looking at the squares, I wonder whether it's related to Metal compute acceleration issues in the 1.7 update? As a test, does the problem still occur if you go to Affinity Photo Preferences > Performance section and untick Enable Metal compute acceleration (restart needed)? Quote
