A thought for the future: You should have probably started your own topic, rather than joining one that's over a year old and is more about rotating than just cropping I can't comment on 1.7.1, as I've upgraded to 1.7.2. But in 1.7.2, in the Develop Persona, choose a Mode value of Custom Ratio, then put the ratio values into the width and height boxes. E.g., for a 3:2 ratio put 3 in the first box, and 2 in the second one. Then drag one of the corner handles to compose your crop, or drag from the middle of the box to move it around.
