Publisher installation/running issues (split)

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
I've split this reply from the original thread since it's unrelated with the issue being followed there so we can better keep track of your issue.
Can you give us a few more details about what's going on please? What OS are you running? Where did you bought the application from - Affinity Store, Mac App Store or Windows Store? Were you updating the Publisher 1.7.1 to the new 1.7.2 or are installing it for the first time?

Hello. I am using "Windows10"and i bought it on an Affinity pre-order.

I either lost or deleted the icon because a message came up saying there was a new version available and since then I have lost my Publisher altogether .Can you please help

Just to add i was updating from 1.7.1 to 1.7.2
