AlanPickup
I went in to Publisher and it advised there was a new version, whilst it was downloading I went in to the forum and found that Designer and Photo had also been updated so I opened those applications and neither offered a new version from 1.7.1 If I go to my account to download from there will it over right my settings in my existing versions or is there something else I can do. There does not appear to be a manual check for updatesin the programs Quote Alan Pickup Windows 11 Home all Affinity suite of Apps PC and Gigabyte Laptop 16gb Ram and Nvidia GTX1660 Super on each. Staff Lee D Posted August 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 17, 2019 The apps update differently depending on the store purchased from, see this post for more information. If purchased from the Affinity store you can login to your account and download the updated versions (1.7.2), these will install over the old versions. You may want to export any presets, brushes settings etc so you have backups just in case, but they should be fine.
AlanPickup
thanks Lee, this issue resolved itself and I noted this in the same problem post of another user. My thoughts that the update server was overwhelmed by checking requests and could not connect to look for updates as this happened with Photo and Designer Quote Alan Pickup Windows 11 Home all Affinity suite of Apps PC and Gigabyte Laptop 16gb Ram and Nvidia GTX1660 Super on each.
