raheath
When scrolling either single pages vertically, or 2 page spreads, it is really annoying to to have the pages move sideways. It seems the "canvas", which the pages are on, is about three pages wide when scrolling single pages vertically. I can't find the control to have the pages scroll vertically with no horizontal movement. I use an iMac with bluetooth mouse and scroll by using my finger on the top of the mouse. If you mean Apple's Magic Mouse 2, this happens because the touch surface scroll gesture will scroll the contents of the window both right & left as well as up & down. This is not restricted to the Affinity apps. For example, open a Finder window in icon view with more icons visible in it than will fit across its width & height. If you move your finger around on the touch surface you will see the window's contents scrolling in both directions. I don't think there is any way to prevent this other than being really careful to move your finger only up & down to scroll, without any side-to-side movement. raheath
Thanks for your replys. It should be possible to pin the work page and stop it from going into negative territory to the left of the Zero point. I'm used to working with apps such as EZdraw which never go left of Zero. The most difficult operation for me is to extend text to the next page down into a box, say in the middle of the second page. The page dances all over, whereas if the page was pinned it could not go negative and I would be able to scroll straight down. Having the ablity to scroll into unused territory seems to be a little strange. If one creates a two page spread why have a browser window that goes to infinity right or left? That's because in the Affinity apps you can move items off the page, spread, canvas, or artboard. There is also no "zero point" because you can zoom way out so that all pages, spreads, etc. occupy only a tiny part of the workspace window. The 'dancing' effect is the result of this plus the 4 way touch scrolling the Magic Mouse (& Magic Trackpad) implement. There is no way around this that I know of, other than using a different pointing device that offers 2 way up/down scrolling, like via a scroll wheel, so you don't have to worry about the diagonal scrolls the Apple 'magic' devices implement.
