MadMinstrel Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I'm probably just stupid or something, but I can't find a way to do this basic thing - In Affinity Designer, how do I split a curve segment into an arbitrary number of pieces of equal length? Failing that, how do I at least split it in half? Quote
firstdefence Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 Is this curve a straight line? if so just make a curve of the required segment length and use power duplicate (cmd + J) to replicate that segment as many times as you like. https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/pages/ObjectControl/duplicate.html Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... MadMinstrel Posted July 26, 2019 Author Posted July 26, 2019 It might be, it might not be. Segments can be straight or curved you know. I'm looking for a generic solution as it's something I need to do often. But assuming it's straight, how do I measure a segment's length so I can divide it by however many segments I want? How do I then align the segment to point exactly at another point? In Blender you can just use the "Subdivide" command and that's that. Quote
