notGibus
Hi, Just downloaded the trial for AP. Would primarily use it for texturing Zbrush models and painting. Was really hopeful to find an alternative to PS but AP doesn't seem to be compatible with my hardware. Unfortunately I can't use the software since I can't resize the brush (I'm aware that the method of resizing the brush is not as easy/efficient as PS) What I'm using: Version: latest trial version OS: Windows 10 Tablet: Huion Q11k What I'm doing: Ctrl+alt -> rightclick -> left click drag (mouse) Ctrl+alt -> rightclick -> drag on tablet (tablet) Works with mouse in that I can drag to resize the brush. But with the tablet no matter what I do it just brings up the colour picker. what I've tried to fix it: Turning it off and on again right clicks do in fact register as I can right click layers. assorted key combinations and orders. Talked to streamer who uses your software and he could not reproduce it with his Wacom. Using the bracket keys is not an option. If I can't find a simple way of changing brush size similar to PS then the program is not suitable for my needs. Would hate for that to be the case. Will check back later to see if this can be fixed. Thanks, Edited July 6, 2019 by notGibus
Staff Gabe Posted July 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted July 18, 2019 Hi @notGibus, Sorry for the delayed reply and welcome to the forums. Just to confirm: Did you only map right-click? Left click is already mapped to the pen tip so you would only need 3 key pressed. ( CTRL + ALT + Right click, the tip of the pen touching the tablet being left click by default) Thanks, Gabe. Yes--I understand how a graphics tablet works I mapped right click to the keyboard and it was a painful workaround. So it works with keyboard and it works with mouse. But it doesn't work on my pen. Other right click functions work in affinity. Just FYI.
