How do I make the normal brush have a square radius and not round radius?

Recommended Posts

As in Photoshop, the brush can be made a rectangle with no radius, how do I do that in Affinity Photo? Thanks

Also how can i rotate the brush as seen in Photoshop? Thanks

Hi JackH and welcome to the forum.

1. Curiously there are no square brushes by default in Affinity, but you can create one (or more) in the Brushes panel, via the hamburger menu (top right) New Square Brush.

The help says…

New Square Brush — creates a brush stroke with a hard edge.

…so this may not achieve what you want.

2. You can rotate a brush using the Left and Right arrow keys.
