AD - change size of geometry relative to length of text

Recommended Posts

Dear forum,

to make the use of our corporate design easier for our employees I need to find a way to scale a underlying rectangle (or any geometry) with the length of the text (claim) on top of it. I've looked into constraints, but it seems as if text can't act as container. The goal is to create a bunch of templates where the user only needs to add the claim and doesn't have to worry about geometries, text-size, margins etc.

Is there a way to get this done?

Thank you

Hi xMatzex

Welcome to the forums :)

Unfortunately there's no way to achieve this in Affinity currently, we've had similar requests in the past and this may be something we include in a later update.

In the meantime I'll move this thread to Features and Suggestions for our devs to see and consider!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
