AnotherOpus
Hello, I opened work I need to do in Affinity Photo and an alert advised me to download an updated version. I downloaded the 1.7.1 update, closed Photo, and ran the update. At then end there was an alert that the update failed. And Affinity Photo will not open. I went to remove it and now it doesn't exist as a program--even though the program files exist. So I'll try to reinstall the previous version and see what happens. AnotherOpus
I downloaded affinity-photo-1.7.0.380.exe and installed it and got the same message that setup failed. This is unfortunate as I needed to use Affinity Photo for work. I cannot uninstall it and I cannot install it. Chris
Dan C
Hi AnotherOpus, Welcome to the forums I'm very sorry to hear you're having trouble, please download the following tool and run this - https://support.microsoft.com/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed Try and locate Affinity Photo in the list, if you can't see it here select the aptly named option, then paste the following string: {A71C2011-E0AB-43E3-810D-41949E622081} This will uninstall all versions of Affinity Photo and ensure we're working from a clean slate. Now visit the following link and download the latest version of the .exe - please download this again to ensure the file has not corrupted during initial download. https://store.serif.com/update/windows/photo/1/ I hope this helps!
