Rolling Back to Previous Version

Recommended Posts

If you are having problems with the current version it would be best to try to resolve them instead of going back to the earlier one (which may or may not be possible, & even if it is may not resolve your issues).

Without knowing more about your problem other than it is "virtually unusable," it is hard to suggest the best way to fix it, but often resetting the app will do that. See this post for info about the method & what you should do beforehand.

If you are unwilling to do that & intent on going back to 1.7.0, we need to know which store (Affinity or Mac) you purchased the app from & if you have a backup of the app & the per user settings files (like a Time Machine backup).

The problem I'm having is that the new version is extremely slow. Selecting and dragging text–in a document with nothing but text–lags, especially if I select more than one text box. It lags so much that the program is virtually unusable.

I had to keep using it because I was on a deadline, but if this is the new performance norm, there's no way I'll keep using AD.

The old version ran smoothly. I never had a problem with it. Either this version is unstable, or the program has grown beyond something that will run well on my 2015 Macbook Pro.

I do have a Time Machine backup. If the updates come from the Mac App store, I'm assuming that means I bought it through that store. I don't have a specific memory of purchasing it.
