Try editing some text in an Art Text object using the arrow keys to navigate back and forth... AP ignores the fact that you are editing text inside the object and instead moves the Art Text object itself, while it remains selected. The Delete Key doesn't work either, I assume it's for the same reason. The only workaround so far is to select the type with the cursor and retype the edit...
