Hi,

I'm working since nealry 3 years with Affinity Photo and never experienced something like this. / I'm a pro photographer.

since today I noticed a major problem with the frequency separation. The main issue is, when I click on low frequency it gives me an extreme time delay doing the little steps ...when I go back to high frequency it takes about 2 minutes (in fact!)  to show me high frequency (it stays in low for the time mentioned). In the mean time (of this 2 minutes going back from low to high frequenncy)  I observed that I'm not able to do any further work processes like gradiation curve or whatever ... the boxes stay empty.

I shut down various time the computer and affinity photo but the problem seems to get worse :-(

What would you propose? reset the current affinity photo version 1.7.0? have you heard about similar problems with 1.7.0.?

Thanks a lot in advance for support (needed urgently)

Hi micawintermayr,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
If you go to Affinity Photo Preferences, Performance section and untick Enable Metal compute acceleration, does it work faster?
If so, do you mind attaching a screen capture of your Mac specs (menu Apple > About This
Mac). Thank you.

Hi MEB,

thanks for your feedback.

I‘m a pro photographer using Affinity Photo since 7/2016. Having trouble since 1.7.0. with defined subject.

As I‘m not able todo my work with final Dates very soon, I have decided yesterday to deinstall 1.7.0. and downloaded trial (10 days) 1.6.11 - which worked pretty well til now. So at least I can go on working.

now currently in direct contact with Serif customer support/ tech support to escalate the problem.

My MacOS details are:

MacOS Mojave / Prozessor 3,3 GHz Intel Core i5 / Grafikkarte AMD Radeon R9 M395 2 GB

Thanks Mica
