Hellbent Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 some curves left as a stroke when exported to SVG have a HUGE number of nodes afterward. SVG-Node-Example-SOURCE.afdesign SVG-Node-Example-SOURCE.svg Quote
Hellbent Posted June 8, 2019 Author Posted June 8, 2019 here's another example. original AF file, one exported with fills on shapes and the other exported with strokes on shapes. these are intended for use in a Glowforge laser cutter. look at the semi-circle pattern design. the number of nodes is ridiculous! buffy-new.afdesign buffy-new-v1.svg buffy-new-v1-stroke-ver.svg Quote
Staff Sean P Posted June 10, 2019 Staff Posted June 10, 2019 Hi Hellbent, It looks like you've used the Vector Brush to draw these curves. When you draw curves with the Vector Brush it applies the 'Texture Line Style', which is generally used when you use image based vector brushes. However when these are not used with a textured brush it is expanding the stroke creating far too many nodes. I'll get this passed on to development. In the meantime if you change your strokes to be 'Solid Line Style' in the Strokes Panel it will export without the thousands of nodes. Quote
