Tried to install the new update 1.7.0 for Mac

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the update all right. When I begun to install it I got the question if I wanted to save the old version or not. I choosed not to save it. Was that right or wrong? When I started Affinity Photo I was asked to write down the product key. When I did the  last update I was not asked for the product key. (As I remeber anyway). I can't find my product key and the e-mail from when I purshased Affinity Photo and i don't see it under my account pages. So instead for an update of Affinity Photo from 1.6.7 I now got no Affinity Photo at all. What shall I do to get it right again.

I didn't get the option to save the old version (which ran on 10.8.5), and now I can't run Affinity Photo at all. If it's going to overwrite applications, the App Store should allow users to download previous versions we already paid for.

@Jeff Slotnick

If you purchased Affinity via the Mac App Store, you'll need to get the update from there.  If you start the App Store and go to the updates section, you should see the update.

Sadly the app store doesn't allow us to have older version of the app available but we should have a fix for this very shortly

Thank you for your help with this. Not allowing older versions sounds like a massive bug in how the App Store functions.
