1.7.0 Photo flaky [with work around] (split)

Recommended Posts

Since automatic update yesterday 1.7 won´t work. Every action, like erasing, cloning, etc. ends in Macs Paintball... at least I have to force quit AP again and again. What´s going on? Have reinstalled, try to uncheck "using Metal" (doesn´t work, its greyed out), only GPU etc. Nothing works. This is very, very frustrating. Any workaround or idea? Thank you.

UPDATE: If you have probs like this uncheck "Metal hardware acceleration" and all is still working fine... umpff... mysterious. So sorry for my complaints...

@Powderstorm

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)  Thanks for the helpful work around. This cannot be the OP's problem as he cannot run at all so I have branched this off from that thread, as it may be useful to others and we need to get to the bottom of why you need to turn it off.

Hello and thank you for reply :)

Yep, it would be helpful to know why I can´t use Metal Acc. My Mac has no exotic configuration, just a Retina5 2017 iMac with a running 10.14.2 on it. If there is any idea on why it won´t work please let me know on this way.
