iuli Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 First I thought that it was a bug, but what really happened was that I was drawing with the “compound path” icon active. This makes impossible to join/close paths further (with new lines), if they are already attached by a closed form, so my question is: where’s the ‘separate compound path” command? Sure it can be avoided by not using it, but it’s highly likely to touch the icon accidentally, and in that case a command to reverse it is necessary; if I’m wrong and I’m missing something I apologize and any help would be more than welcome. Edit: While closed paths figures can be split up into individual shapes by applying “divide”, simple different lines held together in a compound cannot be separated from each other. Maybe this is by design? 24FDAE3C-09F3-44E5-B789-45F5CC8FC547.MP4 Quote StudioLink 256gb 11’ M1 iPad Pro iPadOS 17 Public Beta 1 iPad Magic Keyboard
Dan C Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Hi Iulisvectordesign It's possible to join nodes to a compound path, you simply need to select both curves with the Node tool active and use the Join command. I can see from your video you also use the 'Close' command, which draws a new line between the two points, rather than connecting the one already there. I've attached a quick screen recording of how to join to compound curves below! ScreenRecording_06-07-2019 12-25-53.MP4 iuli 1 Quote
