Undecided Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 How do I set a custom row height in a table? When I select a row and adjust its height manually in the 'transform' panel, that setting is applied to every row -- as much use as a chocolate teapot for any serious table design job. If there is a method, it's very well hidden. KatrinaC 1 Quote
GarryP Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Welcome to the forum. There are a few ways of doing what you want. The first is simply to drag the row 'header' border - for quick adjustments - and the other is to use the Table panel (View -> Studio -> Table - or - Table -> Show Table) and set the Cell Height for the selected row. Resizing using the Transform panel resizes the whole table/layer, which will in turn resize every row. Quote
Undecided Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 Thanks GarryP. The table panel seems like the best method in that it allows precise row heights to be entered. I'm still nonplussed at the Transform panel working beyond the selected table rows. That should come with a health warning. Quote
GarryP Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 You're welcome. One way of thinking about this is that the Transform panel always relates to the layer which is selected in the Layers panel (unless you're using the Node tool) while the other panels relate to the formatting and/or contents of that layer.
