images return to original versions after using filters.

Recommended Posts

hello everyone.

Q: why do my original images return to their original state after using filters (mirror filter). i change the new image name and save them. new images then revert back to the original image. how to preserve the changes to these new images? i did buy the book but they are sold out right now. it will be a while before getting it. thank you all for all your help to this newbie. your help is much appreciated.

thank you, everyone,

alison black

Hi alison black :)

Could you please confirm, are you using the Desktop or iPad version of Affinity? I can see this question has been posted in the iPad section of the forums, however you've mentioned the workbook which has been written for the Desktop version.

Thanks for confirming that, I'm a little unsure of your workflow so a screen recording should certainly help me to answer this. Could you please record your screen showing the original images, the changes you make and then how you save the document and upload it to the following link for me? If you're unsure how to record your iPad screen you can find out how here - https://support.apple.com/HT207935 Many thanks!
