Turn curve into guide

Very useful feature for complex layouts - turn any curve/path into a guide. Today you can drag out horizontal or vertical guides from the rulers. What about turning e.g. an Ellipse into a guide?

If you enable Snap to Object Geometry, then you can use any object as if it were a guide.

If you want to manage such objects, just create an empty layer for them to live inside - this will allow you to easily turn the 'guide objects' on and off.

You could even edit the properties of that layer to give it a unique colour for the selection handles.
