GDPR-354025
I'd like to understand why, when working with JPEGs of old newspaper articles, I can't use the Paintbrush Tool to highlight selected text from these antique, grainy articles. For a video that will be comprised almost exclusively of old and faded newspaper text, in tiny newspaper font, it's essential I find some way to highlight germane terms. The website Newspapers.com highlights search terms automatically and allows subscribers to download articles in either PDF or JPEG format, but does not allow downloading with search terms highlighted. I tried various Affinity Tools to bring up the option (Paintbrush being the only real option) to edit the images, but Affinity does not allow for any "color" other than Grayscale to be applied to these JPEGs. I searched Help and also Youtube Affinity forums to find answers and post this question only because I could find no answer as to why Affinity will not allow me to highlight black-and-white, or perhaps black-and-white newspaper, text in color. Thank you for any assistance you can give.
gdenby
Seems like you need to change the document color format to RGB.
