I have tried out the mirror filter function.

Here's what I've found:

When mirroring an image, the behaviour is very eratic.

I have tried several times and each time the mirrored image:

1. Had a huge gap between the original and its mirror

2. This gap could not be closed, because the original and its mirror are one.

3. Moving the image, once mirrored, goes jumpy, the image makes huge vertical jumps, not horizontal.

4. Sometimes there is one gap and the mirrored image is smooth against its original

5. Fading the mirror (Layers,Fade Mirror) produces a sharp edged grey rectangle, not a smooth fading  transistion to transparent.

6. The original and its mirror are one, they cannot be separated. If they could be separated, the user could close any gaps.

I'm running AFPBeta 1.1.2.24443, on an iMac 27", 16Gb RAM

BTW:

Attaching the sample file in afphoto format (11Mb) produced an error message: Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file

So instead, here's the file exported as jpg. Hopefully you can still reproduce the behaviour.

Forum states I'm allowed to upload 194.67Mb of files (???)
