Lynn green
Absolute newbie here! Hubby says this is the program for me.....I am scanning, reading and watching tutorials but can’t seem to find any on my particular application. I understand how annoying it is to you for people who don’t even try to work things out ~ but Can you direct me to the area to search please????? I have a pattern I photographed and want to draw it out complete with actual measurements. I think I require vector mode but can’t seem to find how to draw and match up the measurements
Staff Callum Posted February 17, 2019 Staff Share Posted February 17, 2019 Hi Lynn, Welcome to the forums You should be able to trace your pattern using the Pen Tool you can find a short video on tracing using Designer for desktop below the same process will apply to the iPad version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leCGENyaMco Thanks Callum Lynn green 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. v_kyr
There are also some iOS Tracing apps for the iPad (like this one here Imaengine Vector) which claims to can then be used to trace a bitmap image into a reusable vector format. So you don't have to draw everything manually, which can be time consuming for a bunch of images/bitmaps. - Thus you can also use something like that for tracing and then finetune the exported vector result to your needs in AD for iPad.
