Using Bridge to open images by double clicking

Recommended Posts

I am having been using Photoshop from Bridge. I double click on image in Bridge and image would open in PS. Now I have downloaded a 10 day trial of Affinity Photo to see if I can make the shift across. This will be a deal breaker for me.

I have changed preferences > File Type Associations from PS to Affinity.

Affinity opens but NOT the image that I clicked on.

How do I make it work?

Hi ruma,

Welcome to the forums :)

Changing this preference should allow the image to open in AP.

What format are the files please? From which camera do they originate? When opening an image from bridge, you say Affinity opens but the image does not. Does any image open, or just a blank screen? If you right-click the file and select open with > Affinity Photo, does this open the image correctly?

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
