Freewheeler
I have just installed Affinity Photo on my desktop in Windows 10 Home x64 & on Affinity startup it says my graphics card needs to support directx10 to run at its optimum speed. My motherboard is an Asrock G31M-GS with onboard graphics Intel graphics media accelerator 3100, pixel shader 2.0, DirectX 9.0 DirectX 12.0 seems to be the current setup in Windows. This to me would be a later version. Do I need to upgrade the graphics?

Staff Dan C Posted January 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 14, 2019 Hi Freewheeler, Welcome to the forums Affinity requires Direct X10 and above to use your graphics chip for rendering, without this we revert to Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform (WARP) fallback. This is not a recommended way of running Affinity, as performance will certainly be impacted. Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
