toyotadesigner
I'm still on Mavericks in case this is important. When working with several elements and i.e. selecting a few of them, then click outside of the elements, the purple snap indicator lines are still visible: It is kind of disturbing... Is it a bug in Mavericks or in my graphic card? iMac 8.1 Another question: Selecting several single lines with a black stroke doesn't allow me to apply a white stroke. Even if I group them, I can't apply a white stroke, though the menu gives me the option. So how can I assign a new color for fill or stroke to multiple selected elements? Any trick for this task which I have missed until today? Any help will be appreciated, because it is a very tedious task to select the single elements, modify the color or stroke, deselect and select the next element. Staff MEB Posted April 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted April 4, 2015 Hi toyotadesigner, 1) To disable the purple line go to View ▹ Snapping Manager... and uncheck Show snapping candidates (this is a list of the objects that you are able to snap other objects to - they are marked with that purple line. It's not a bug). 2) To change the stroke color (or any other attribute) of several lines or objects, select them, change to the Node tool, then change their attributes from the context toolbar. They will all change at once. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
toyotadesigner
Hi MEB, incredible! Not necessarily logical, but it works! Thanks a lot for these insider tricks! What a relief for my work... Staff MEB Posted April 4, 2015 Staff Share Posted April 4, 2015 Maybe we should add the Fill and Stroke buttons to the context toolbar for the Move tool. It makes sense to have them there too. Snapping candidates however makes sense and it's intuitive. They help to avoid cluttering the drawing with snapping guides on complex illustrations. Take a look at the help, it's fairly easy to understand. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
